How the Mighty have Fallen
This will be used as chapter parts in my "The War" and the meant Empire Part 2. I had an interesting combat idea and wanted to add it to my stuff. I realized that if I waited to long someone else might have it out there and I would just be accused of coping. I decided to go ahead and put something out with it. Since I planned on adding it anyway and I have a good idea about what I will need then. (Since rough drafts of part 1 have already be done.) It also gave me a chance to see it I could conjure enough op to make this an independent story and it might even spark interest in the Novels.
With the fall of the Deveron Kingdom and possibly the Omega Alliance a small group of survivors cling to life in the remains of a once mighty battler fleet.
Hopes are dashed as the enemy finds them.
Do they fight?
Do those that can run leave their comrades to the enemy?
Can the man that has to make this choice live up to his past?
The Equality of Misery.
I hope this will eventually be used as chapter parts in Book one of my "The Shadow Crystal" Novels. I've had a number of ideas and they keep bugging me. So best thing is to get them out. I think I can make a nice short story from a small subplot to this book.
In the distance future the human galactic republic should be the greatest achievement of mankind. With help of the Star Crystal and numerous benevolent rulers humanity should have achieved almost all the goals they could have imagined. Unfortunately this is not the case. Only spiritual progress has been made. Everything else seems to have withered and died on the vine.
A special man spent most of his early lifetime on a number of great works only to realize it was all for not.
What has crushed the human spirit, why has technology stagnated, who or what is to blame?
